This exhibit is the culmination of a 15 week collaborative project that included Museum educators, Biodiversity Works, and children at the Vineyard Montessori School. Students used the Heath Hen (which went extinct on the Island in 1932), as a poster child to explore complex issues of biodiversity and habitat. The culminating exhibit includes artwork, field journals, maps, and graphs. Join us for a reception as the students demonstrate their newly acquired scientific and historic knowledge. This project was funded by The Massachusetts Cultural Council.
