Exhibit Opening and Talk: The Scottish Society - Celebrating 30 Years of Tradition and Community

Lads and lassies, kilts and bagpipes – everybody knows something about Scotland. For thirty years the traditions of Scotland have been celebrated by the Scottish Society of Martha's Vineyard. This exhibition brings together familiar items such as the kilt, and less familiar, such as the sporran. Come see the rich variety of objects, hear the Ode tae haggis recited by the late Bob MacKay, and watch a film clip of the Procession of the Haggis. Celebrate all things Scottish with an Island flair. Also, join Steve Ewing, Vice President of the Scottish Society, for a talk in the Museum Library at 4pm on the history of the Society.
